A QUEZON City businessman is sure to have a merry Christmas after he claimed on Monday the P89-million jackpot prize in the 6/45 Mega Lotto’s draw last Dec. 4.
The 55-year-old father of five was the only player who correctly guessed the winning number combination of 05-14-15-37-43-45. He took home a total of P89,607,364.
Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II said that the winner had been betting on the lottery in the last four years.
He added that the man paid P560 when he chose the PCSO’s System 8 which randomly picks 28 combinations.
The winner told Rojas that he and his wife would use his prize to buy a house and lot and as additional capital for their buy-and-sell business.
He would also donate a portion of his winnings to charity and save the rest for his children’s future. Rojas noted that the winner was thankful for the PCSO’s lottery games which “help people realize that their dreams can come true.” Jovic Yee
